Thief: Bad Re-Run Or Possible Game Of The Year

Sneaking around is an integral part of the game, Thief.

As many gamers may know,  the Thief series has been around since 1998, making it be one of the many games from the era of 3D stealth based combat. Along with Metal Gear Solid, it paved the way for more stealth-based games like the extremely famous Assassin’s Creed series, Tom Clancy games, and Dishonored. The original Thief series includes three games, Thief: The Dark Project, Thief II: The Metal Age, and Thief: Deadly shadows. These three games, along with others, kept people interested in stealth-based gaming which led to more development of the incredible games we have today.

The new Thief takes place in a steampunk universe, in a town on the brink of revolution. With the commotion of citizens ready to fight their oppressive government, Garrett (the thief you follow through the series), takes the opportunity to steal as much as he can. This makes him a bit hypocritical when he tells Erin, a new and reckless thief, that it’s not about how much you steal, it’s about what you steal.

You can experience the thievery yourself, too, since the game is now released on most modern platforms at a suggested retail price of $69.99 USD.
