Top Upcoming Movies for December

Going to the movies is one of the most popular activities that people all over the world take part in (the first world, anyway). There are many upcoming movies being released that are expected to do well, and others that are not. Here are some upcoming movies for December.

The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies- Wednesday, December 17, 2014

This is the third Hobbit movie and although I will most likely not go see it myself, there is a large fan base and as of December 8, critics have rated the movie 79% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is expected to do well once released.

Into The Woods– Thursday, December 25, 2014

This movie is a combination of many childhood stories, the Brothers Grimm fairy tales, including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel. I am excited for this to be released.

Exodus: Gods and Kings– Friday, December 12, 2014

This movie definitely looks action packed. The trailer includes a lot of interesting and riveting scenes.

Annie– Friday, December 19, 2014

This new release is a new perspective of a classic. The young foster child Annie is African- American in the new release and the movie trailer was enjoyable. I think I just might have to go see this movie musical.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb– Friday, December 19, 2014

In my personal opinion, I do not think this third movie is necessary, or rather a second, because of how well the first one was. I still believe that this movie looks entertaining.

The Interview– Thursday, December 25, 2014

A movie about news reporters trying to kill the leader of North Korea? That’s right, and although this movie is not my cup of tea, it is sure to draw viewers with the leading cast of Seth Rogan and James Franco.
