It is a well known fact that as the summer approaches and the weather gets nicer most people want to make up for lost time and replenish their bodies for the summer. The ladies want to look nice in their special polka dot bikinis and the men want to have the nice clean cut body. Although many people set goals and standards they would like to meet getting that nice summer body isn’t as easy as it seems. Eating healthy can be a struggle especially for those who aren’t fond of their greens and without the proper motivation and a good partner going to the gym can become a hassle.

Consuming fewer calories than you burn is an obvious way to significantly reduce your body fat levels. Determine how many calories you burn through exercise and keep your calorie consumption below that. Eating too many starches such as potatoes, rice, pasta, and breads will provide your body with more than it needs for energy and anything left over will then be stored as fat. Although you may not have to eliminate starches completely it is recommended by dieticians that you enjoy them in moderation.

Green vegetables like spinach, kale, and avocado are known to keep you full for longer periods of time. Smoothies are a fun drink that can be easily made and healthy if the right ingredients are used. Strawberries are full of antioxidants that will boost your metabolism. Also garlic, broccoli, and beans are known for helping to speed up your metabolism. Your metabolism will convert your food into energy and the faster your metabolism is the more food it turns into energy, this leaves less room for fat to be stored.

It is also recommended that you start off your journey to the ultimate summer body slowly, and set goals for yourself before you start. Starting off slowly gives your body time to adjust to the sudden changes you are starting to implement. if you decide that by the end of the summer you want to lose five pounds and go to the gym everyday start off with a light workout of about thirty minutes a day and gradually build your tolerance level up so you are able to withstand working out for a longer period of time. Also remember to have fun, if things are made interesting you will be able to adjust to it faster and actually like working out and eating healthier.
