Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston throws during action against The Citadel.

College football star Jameis Winston, quarterback for the number one ranked Florida State University, got himself in some trouble last week at a student union meeting. Winston stood on a table and shouted sexually crude comments. The news was quickly spread, getting him suspended for the what supposed to be just the first half of their game against the number 22 ranked Clemson Tigers.

Head coach Jimbo Fisher had to change all his game plans to work around the half game suspension of his star quarterback, but late at night before the game the college board got more information about the situation and changed the suspension to a full game. This only gave second string quarterback Sean Maguire three days to get prepared for his first start against Clemson. Troublesome news for Florida State’s first ACC matchup, and Clemson has one of the top ranked defenses.

Giving Sean Maguire an incredible amount of pressure to keep Florida State football at number one. Florida State squeezed out a narrow overtime victory 23-17, Sean Maguire went 23/39, throwing for 305 yards with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. The rushing game did not help him out only rushing for 13 yards all game `. Hopefully some time on the bench will allow Winston to think about his actions.
