Indian River Warriors Football


Along with the many successful fall sports teams, the Indian River Warriors varsity football team is making remarkable steps once again with their season. The boys have put in a significant amount of time and effort into their season. The boys are currently 4-0 in the frontier league and 8-0 overall. As the boys have gone through the season many successful games have made fans proud, along with the Warriors beating a AA school, Fayetteville-Manlius with a final score of 62-21.

Though the boys have a full roster, players Romel Washington, Dustin Sharrit, Connor Brown, Gary Ruckman, Jonah Raydo, Densel Barnes, and kicker Tyler Iketau are all standouts for the Warriors. Dustin Sharrit is the leading scorer with a total of 90 total points, followed by Connor Brown with a total of 72 points, and Densel Barnes with a total of 56 points. Along with a total of 72 points, Connor Brown has the most total yards on the team, having a total of 838 yards. Following Connor on the leaderboard for total yards is Densel Barnes with a total of 532 yards.

The boys face the East Syracuse Minoa on Friday, November 7th at the Syracuse Carrier Dome for the section 3 class A championship. Go Warriors!
