“Deflategate” Comes Back to Haunt Brady

The Patriots “cheating” ways are starting to catch up to them, from accusations of stealing plays to the infamous deflategate. Many people are not happy about the Patriots going on to win the Super Bowl after supposedly deflating the balls used during the playoff game against the Colts.

The NFL has released their punishments on the Patriots and Tom Brady. Brady is suspended 4 games without pay, they lost their first round pick in next years draft and a fourth round pick in 2017. They fined the Patriots one million dollars which is the biggest fine the NFL has ever given out.

They have no proof the Brady himself deflated the balls, but they claim to know that Brady knew about the balls being deflated. Deflating the balls helped with grip and now people are saying the it gave them a fumble advantage.

The Patriots plan on appealing the punishments. Brady has an all star group of lawyers to help him get out of this, one being Jeffrey Kessler. “He’s a legal powerhouse,” University of Toledo law professor Geoffrey Rapp told Bleacher Report talking about Jeffrey Kessler. “If you’re playing a high-stakes game, you want the best team on the field. And this would be the equivalent of that from a legal perspective.”

We’ll see how the NFL reacts to the  Brady’s appeal.
