Everyone knows the brand Fisher Price. Whether you had the OG Chatter Telephone or the Corn Popper every parent despised, Fisher Price is the one toy brand that seems to have been around forever.

This year marks their 90th anniversary. In honor of this occasion Fisher Price is opening up a virtual museum on Instagram with 90 exhibits organized by decades. Chuck Scothon,  a corporate big shot at Mattel (which has owned the Fisher-Price brand since the early 90s), said, “We hope consumers around the globe take a moment, relive a happy moment in your childhood and remember what it was like when you got to be 3 and 5 (years old).”

Fisher Price decided they want to celebrate this achievement despite the pandemic closing down museums all across the country. Many museums have been struggling during the pandemic but have found alternative options in the form of virtual tours, workshops, and exhibits.

The idea for their virtual toy museum came from their actual museum in East Aurora, New York. Instead of walking around and looking at decades worth of toys, putting it online would make it more accessible for people stuck at home during the pandemic. Scothon also says that putting the museum on Instagram “provides an opportunity for people around the world”.

Every museum has a gift shop so naturally Fisher Price added an online gift shop as well. The gift shop has 16 different items, all in limited supply. They range from shirts with images of the toys on them, the Doctor Doodle pull toy, and a Little People lunch box.

If you’ve got some free time on your hands–which we all know you do–feel free to check out the Fisher Price Museum.
